Russia feature more than 100 samples of weapons and materiel in the second edition of the Defense Technology International IDEF-2011, to be held in Istanbul from 10 to 13 May, reported the Russian group Rosoboronexport.
Aksiónov Anatoli, who advises the head of this company and will chair the Russian delegation at the exhibition in Istanbul, noted that the samples of Russian weaponry take into account the needs of Mediterranean countries, some of which are members of NATO. "All our systems respond perfectly to the standards of the Alliance. Some samples are unparalleled and clearly exceeded the competition in several characteristics. "
Among other equipment, Russia on display at IDEF-2011 military helicopters Mi-17Sh (transport), Ka-52 and Mi-28NE (from combat), and Mi-35M (transport and combat). The latter model was exported mainly to Brazil and Venezuela. All helicopters are armored hull, powerful weapons and modern radio-electronic systems that ensure effective action both day and night, regardless of the weather.

The Russian pavilion in Istanbul also report anti-aircraft missile systems Antei-2500, Buk-M2E and Tor-M2E. The latter performance is doubled compared to the previous modification. A battery of four vehicles with Tor-M2E system with four channels guide can pull down 16 targets simultaneously within a radius of 13 kilometers and at altitudes of up to 10 kilometers.
