ASSERTIVENESS IMPORTANCE OF A MAYOR IN TEAMWORK
I firmly believe that assertiveness is an important social skill, when exercising Service City Hall, by these principles:
Being assertive means standing up for your rights and express your feelings, beliefs and desires in a direct, honest, and appropriate without violating the rights of others.
Assertiveness is an honest and authentic expression of who we are and that we expect of others. Assertiveness
leads us to: Make
others know that we listen to and understand them.
Tell others what you feel.
Tell others what you want.
Assertiveness is not aggression. Aggression includes defending your rights but violating the rights of others.
